If you want Texas Southern Smoked BBQ, this is it! Take a look at the Bbq tanks/grills out back and see for yourself! Service is fast and staff very knowledgeable! Great recommendations for mains and sides. I have had most if not all of Toronto BBQ and this is not a disrespect to all the other places serving bbq but this is such a standout! Kris and Andrew run a tight ship and everything is outstanding! Shout out to Hugh for that Dr. Pepper burnt beef ends! Amazing taste!

I always judge BBQ on two things: can I enjoy the meat without any sauce, and are the sides MORE than an afterthought. Golden Horseshoe BBQ nails both of these prerequisites. The Mexican style sausage with the crumbled cotija (I think?) on top, the brisket and pork ribs were perfectly juicy, the chicken: unreal. The beans, the slaw, the potato salad. THE MAC AND CHEESE! Even my 4 year old daughter loved the brisket, the chicken and the beans. Hard to get her to eat anything that isnโt buttered noodles. We definitely overate but for 2.5 of us we spent about $45 per person for a total of $110 with tax and tip (they also donโt pressure you to tip because itโs counter service and they do a lot of take out). I also had leftovers for two days so could definitely get away with closer to $30/person. I canโt wait to go back next weekend. Also definitely thinking of having them cater my friendโs wedding and my birthday.

The house made bread is fantastic and the sides we had (beans and potato salad) were very tasty. The staff are awesome too; big thanks for their amazing service!

The brisket is so good I'd even say it's better than my grandmother'sโand that's saying something. The staff are friendly and very helpful. It's one of those places you can count on every time. Easy 10/10, I'll definitely be back again.

The dining area was clean and well organized as well. Staffs were friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to comeback and try other items on the menu :)

YumYak's take
2026 Michelin Bib Gourmand for traditional Texas barbecue sold by weight, from pitmaster Andrew Golden, winner of Michelin's 2026 Young Chef award.
Quick verdict
This is Texas-style barbecue done the traditional way: brisket, ribs and sausage, sold by weight. It earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026, and pitmaster Andrew Golden took Michelin’s Young Chef award the same night. Go early, bring a group, and don’t skip the sides.
Why it matters
Doris and Andrew Golden started with pandemic-era pop-ups before opening on Dupont, according to Michelin. Andrew runs the smoker; Doris makes the desserts and cornbread. It is the only 2026 newcomer whose chef also received one of the guide’s four special awards that year.
